As of September 30, 2025 this course is required for learners ages 21 and over. This course will no longer satisfy the state requirement for failing the maneuverability/skills test for students age 18-20.
The state of Ohio requires identity verification of all students enrolling in this course. Please be prepared to enter your permit/license number during registration, even if it has been revoked or suspended. You will be asked for a photo of your state issued ID prior to receiving a completion certificate.

What We Will Cover
The 4-Hour Ohio adult driving class is an accelerated version of our Ohio teen course. It details everything adults need to know about the rules of the road and driving techniques for their driving exam. Take a look at what’s included, and register today to get started!
Basic Vehicle Knowledge
Familiarize yourself with the various instruments, features, and basic mechanics of your vehicle.
Rules of the Road
This course breaks down rules for driving on different roads and the laws you need to drive legally and safely in Ohio.
Driving Strategies
Review different driving maneuvers and strategies for various situations including rural roads, highways, inclement weather, and more!
Road Safety
This course also details road safety, including the risks of driving impaired, avoiding distractions, and keeping control of your emotions while driving.
Quizzes and Lesson Tests
Throughout the course, you’ll be tested on your knowledge with quizzes, lesson tests, and a final exam. This is to ensure you’re getting the information you need to pass your driving exam and drive safe.
Completion Certificates
Your completion certificate will be emailed to you after you complete the course. You must present it to the BMV to schedule a road test.

Yes, you must have a permit/license issued by the state of Ohio to take this course, and you must provide your permit/license number when you register.
After you complete your course, we will submit your course completion information directly to the State of Ohio BMV and email a course completion certificate to you. Please note that you must have verified your identity via state-issued photo ID before we can submit your course completion in the BMV database. For teen students, we are required to verify the identity of the parent/guardian of the student who is taking the course, and we may request state-issued photo ID to satisfy this requirement.
