What We Will Cover

Our Idaho teen drivers ed course is geared toward providing all the information new drivers need to pass their permit exam and prepare for behind-the-wheel training. This course is approved by the state of Idaho, and formatted for easy progression and review to help your teen master safe driving.

 

Basic Vehicle Knowledge

All the basic instruments and tools you need to understand how your car works, important safety features, and more!

Rules of the Road

From laws and rules of the road to identifying road signs, you’ll learn the rules of driving on different types of roads and how to identify important signs and features. 

Driving Maneuvers

This course is full of fun interactives and engaging videos that walk you through different driving maneuvers and how to perform them safely and efficiently. You’ll also learn how to choose between different maneuvers based on the road conditions and your own skill as a driver.

Road Safety

Teaching you how to stay safe on the road is a cornerstone of this course. We detail the different risks of distracted driving, driving under the influence, as well as how your emotions can affect your driving and how best to control them.

Quizzes and Lesson Tests

Test your knowledge with discussion quizzes after each section, lesson test to help you review all of the important information you learn. At the end of the course, there is also a final exam to ensure you’ve learned everything you need to know to be a safe driver and pass your driving exam.

Completion Certification

Finally, once you complete your course, you’ll receive a completion certificate to show that you have passed the classroom potion of your driver education and are ready to start practicing behind the wheel!

This course costs $100.00 to enroll.

 

Yes. All students who wish to enroll in the course must first obtain their Idaho driver training permit from their local DMV.

 

Students and parents/legal guardians in rural districts or districts without a driver education program qualify for Idaho Code 49-307 Parent On-Road Driver Training.

 

 

 

 

Yes! Our Parent-Student On-Road Driver Training course is fully approved by the Idaho State Department of Education.

 

 

Students must be age 14.5 to begin their course.

 

Students must achieve a score of 80% or higher on each lesson test in their course. When you successfully pass your course, your certificate will be available right away on your course dashboard.

While you are working on your course, you can practice behind the wheel with your parent/guardian. You must log at least 40 daytime hours and 10 nighttime hours. You can download the Parent Supervising Driving Booklet to track your time. More information is available in the Idaho Driver’s Handbook.
