If you’re 21 or older and didn’t pass your first Ohio driving skills test, you may be required to take this course before you can test again. The Ohio BMV will let you know if it’s required.

Ohio’s Adult Abbreviated Driver Training program also requires behind-the-wheel training. You must complete that training with either:
- A licensed Ohio driving school, or
- A licensed driver who is 21 or older.
We process course completion certificates within one business day after you finish your course. If you complete the course during the evening or over the weekend, your certificate will be emailed to you on the next business day.
