To earn your Ohio driver license, you’ll also need to:

• Complete 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a licensed Ohio driving school.
• Complete 50 hours of supervised practice driving, including 10 hours at night.
• Hold your temporary permit (TIPIC) for at least six months before taking your driving test.

Most students enroll after receiving their Ohio Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC), but if you’re at least 15 years 5 months old, you can enroll and begin learning the rules of the road.

If you complete the course during the evening or over the weekend, your certificate will be emailed to you on the next business day.

Yes! As soon as we create your Driver Education Certificate, it’s processed directly through the Ohio BMV’s system. You’ll also receive a copy for your records and to provide to your behind-the-wheel school.

Ohio regulations allow a maximum enrollment period of 180 days from your original enrollment date. • Identity verification: You’ll upload a photo of your parent or guardian’s government-issued ID during registration. Identity verification is required by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, and your information is protected with secure SSL encryption.
• Required breaks: Ohio requires a 10-minute break at certain points during the course. After your break, simply log back in and continue where you left off.
• Your Driver Education Certificate: You’ll need your Driver Education Certificate before you can take your Ohio driving test, so be sure to complete both this course and your behind-the-wheel training.
