Our Idaho teen drivers ed course is geared toward providing all the information new drivers need to get their license and prepare for behind-the-wheel training. This course is approved by the state of Idaho, and formatted for easy progression and review to help your teen master safe driving.

This course costs $100.00 to enroll.

 

Yes. All students who wish to enroll in the course must first obtain their Idaho driver training permit from their local DMV.

 

 

 

Idaho HB628 was signed into law on March 17, 2026. This bill removes the previous requirement that students must reside in an eligible school district to be able to use a parent-led driver instruction program. This program is now available to all Idaho teens who are getting their license for the first time.

Yes! Our Parent-Student On-Road Driver Training course is fully approved by the Idaho State Department of Education.

 

 

Students must be age 14.5 to begin their course.

 

Students must achieve a score of 80% or higher on each lesson test in their course. When you successfully pass your course, your certificate will be available right away on your course dashboard.

While you are working on your course, you can practice behind the wheel with your parent/guardian. You must log at least 40 daytime hours and 10 nighttime hours. You can download the Parent Supervising Driving Booklet to track your time. More information is available in the Idaho Driver’s Handbook.
